If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, contact your primary healthcare provider (doctor).

To protect yourself and your family from the flu:

1.  Encourage all people to cover their mouth and nose when they cough or sneeze.  Use a disposable tissue or your elbow or upper arm, not your hands.

2.  Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.  Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also helpful.  Use caution with alcohol-based hand cleaners with young children due to possible alcohol poisoning.

3.  Try to avoid contact with sick people.

4.  If you get sick, limit contact with others to avoid infecting them.  Stay home from work, school and social gatherings when you are sick.
