Job Development Agency

The Orleans County Job Development Agency provides educational and/or training programs to disadvantaged adults and youth, dislocated-unemployed workers, displaced homemakers and in/out of school youth. This agency receives funding from a variety of Federal and/or State governmental sources.

There are eligibility requirements that need to occur in order to qualify for the services provided.

There are a number of services provided to customers that ultimately promote economic self-reliance through employment. These services can include helping you get into an appropriate vocational or educational skills training program, On-The-Job training reimbursements to employers who hire eligible clients, paid work experience programs for short periods of time, job search assistance, resume writing, job development/placement/referral services, career counseling, employability planning and assessment testing activities. For those of you who are unsure of what type of career or job to pursue, we can identify occupations which are in demand in our area, and help you get started.
