County Attorney

The County Attorney is appointed by the Legislature for a term consistent with that of the Legislature to act as legal advisor to the Legislature and all county departments. Responsibilities include representing the county in civil litigation, reviewing all contracts and bid specifications, examining legal papers served on or filed with county departments, and appearing at legal proceedings on behalf of the county when necessary.
